Reimu is NOT a bitch.

I just discovered "Reimu is a Bitch"

I disagree, because the arguments are stupid, and some of them are untruths.

I will now retort.
(copied from TVTropes)

(also, remember that The Shrine getting destroyed/un-used means the barrier collapses, which would end Gensokyo)

  • The Highly Responsive to Prayers: Reimu goes on a homicidal rampage.
      • No... Reimu closes a portal that goes to Makai/Hell which threatened Gensokyo
  • Story of Eastern Wonderland: Reimu seeks revenge for Mima's revenge for Reimu's previous rampage.
      • No - Reimu prevents Mima (and a number of others) from destroying the shrine
  • Phantasmagoria of Dim.Dream: Reimu interferes with academia and scientific progress.
      • Doesn't matter who enters the ruins in the end anyways.
  • Lotus Land Story: Reimu kills a youkai who tried to help her, and breaks into a mansion and beats up the gatekeeper and everyone inside because for some reason she believes that would stop ghosts from going to her shrine.
      • No, Reimu defeats a youkai who tried to kill her, and then battles Yuka, who was sending ghosts to attack the shrine - and for no good reason
  • Mystic Square: Reimu orphans Alice and destroys an entire world for its creator's belief in the free market.
      • Reimu didn't orphan anybody, Makai wasn't destroyed, The Makai residents in Gensokyo were causing all sorts of problems. Reimu did her job
  • The Embodiment of Scarlet Devil: Reimu places a little girl who wanted to go flower gazing under house arrest. She also beats up retarded kids, violates private property, and picks a fight with an asthmatic person. TWICE.
      • Reimu prevents a vampire from causing mayhem, and everybody attacked her first.
  • Perfect Cherry Blossom: Reimu prevents an innocent girl from being revived, after beating up the self-appointed guardian of an inhabited village with the stated intention of plundering it for good luck (which she then seemingly does off-camera).
      • Reimu prevents a far-from innocent girl from being revived (Yuyuko murdered a bunch of people to get their spring). More to the point, if said girl DID get revived, Gensokyo would have ceased to exist.
  • Immaterial and Missing Power: Reimu breaks up parties and prevents a girl from achieving her dream of reuniting her people.
      • Said parties were throwing Gensokyo into chaos - and Suika was breaking an agreement made between the Oni and Yukari. Had Suika succeeded, she would have been responsible for the slaughter of her own race at the hands of the most powerful youkai in Gensokyo
  • Imperishable Night: Reimu strips Gensoukyou of its defences against a Lunar invasion. Also the repeated killing of the elderly in the Extra stage.
      • Reimu didn't do anything to Gensokyo's defense. Nothing changed with the defenses - the Lunar invasion was never going to happen, no matter what anybody did. If Eirin and Kaguya knew  that, they never would have stolen the moon.
      • Also - Mokou (who is ageless and immortal) attacked Reimu first.
    • Alternatively, Reimu does everything in her power to stop the heroes from resolving the incident.
        • Reimu was just confused - she didn't know what was going on
  • Phantasmagoria of Flower View: Reimu attacks people for no good reason.
      • Reimu was doing her job - Youkai were acting up
  • Mountain of Faith: Reimu oppresses other religions.
      • Reimu prevents her shrine from losing all faith, thus destroying Gensokyo
  • Scarlet Weather Rhapsody: Reimu endorses slave labor, beats up her best friend to get out of doing chores and spends the majority of the story throwing baseless accusations at every person she meets and beating them up before they can protest.
      • Reimu was extremely angry. Reimu is justified.
  • Subterranean Animism: Reimu cuts back funding for alternative energy sources.
      • Reimu was forced into fighting with Okuu, who would have destroyed Gensokyo had she not been stopped.
  • Undefined Fantastic Object: Reimu attempts to seal Youkai Jesus for wanting peace amongst humans and youkai.
      • Reimu was attacked by Youkai Jesus for telling her what the situation in Gensokyo was
  • Hisoutensoku: Reimu blames little kids for trouble because they look like they're having fun.
      • Reimu is just there.
  • Double Spoiler: Reimu refuses to cooperate with important paparazzi.
      • Reimu has good reason to - would YOU want to be lied about in the newspaper?
  • Great Fairy Wars: Reimu doesn't even move the slightest to settle a civil war among one of the most abundant race in Gensoukyou.
      • Fairies don't die.

Christmahanukwanzakahmas the 2nd

Thinking back to a few posts ago - I feel I wasn't really clear as to my point.

My point, in the end was - everybody says it anyways, and few people actually believe the Christian version of the story - so who really cares what people say? If somebody is going to get offended when they're wished a Merry Christmas, rather then a Happy Hanukkah/Kwanza/What-the-fuck ever - then they probably shouldn't be around people in the first place, because, quite clearly, they get easily offended.

All I have to add to my point is the words of this fine gentleman:

So again - who cares what you say? The point is that you wish somebody well during the season - doesn't really matter what you say, as long as the meaning gets through.

WikiLeaks

Not much to say that hasn't been said already. If you've been living under a rock then you should go re-integrate yourself with the internet - WikiLeaks has been all over the news lately.

Now then!

-WikiLeaks did NOT compromise government security - they published documents given to them
-WikiLeaks did NOT break the law - freedom of speech is your VERY FIRST RIGHT
-WikiLeaks can not and should NOT be executed for treason - for one thing, no laws were broken, for another, they are a Swedish company run by an Australian - the United States can't touch them regardless.
-WikiLeaks should NOT be shut down - at it's core, it's a whistle blower - if BP was killing kittens to appease Satan to improve their PR - somebody at BP who is morally opposed to this could tell WikiLeaks - who would then confirm & publish the story. Media outlets like that NEED to exist.

That is all.

Christmahanukwanzakahmas

Ah, Christmas. The capitalist wet-dream. An entire season dedicated to materialism, over spending, commercialism, spending, massive debt, over eating, excessive travel, and traffic accidents.

Oh, and family, and love, and the birth of Christ and all that.

I'm not saying I don't like the spirit of the holiday - I do. I love Christmas. It's just that somewhere along the lines we kinda went overboard.

But everybody knows that already - that's not what this is about.

It's about political correctness.

Somewhere along the lines, Christmas became a non-PC term. Okay, fair enough, it's one of the most important Christian holidays after Easter - but is it really such a taboo to say "Merry Christmas"? I've grown up saying it, almost everybody I know says it, even if they aren't Christian.
I have Jewish friends who say Merry Christmas, rather then Happy Hanukkah
I have Muslim friends who say it, I have Atheist friends who say it, I never even once considered not saying it when I started following Taoism. I have yet to meet somebody who is willingly saying "Happy Holidays".

So why is it such a taboo lately?

This strikes me as a bad idea...

So, Interac is going to roll out PIN-less debit cards. You have them over a flash reader, similar to a PayPass card.

That's it, no PIN, no ways to prove that you're the owner of the card - just tap-and-go.

Now, does this not strike you as a really bad idea? They just made it a hell of a lot easier to steal and use debit cards.

The security measures they implemented? The same as before, but the maximum amount of money you can use with these cards is $50.

SO YEAH! They aren't secure, and the seem to think that people will notice immediately when their card is missing.

This is SO not a good idea.

Well, I never promised regular updates, so yeah...

The past couple of weeks have been a bit hectic. I was pretty much buried in assignments and lab reports. Last week was actually homework-free, but I used the free time as a recovery period. Now I'm good to go and ready for action once more!

I'm also, surprisingly, not hung over as a result of my birthday.

That was a fun gathering. It was not only mine, but also one of my roommates', so we had an epic gathering for dinner at Sapporo's (which is, obviously, a Japanese restaurant) then we headed for the nearest open pub (since our usual place is closed on Sunday) In the end, going to Reilly's instead of McThirsty's was a good idea, since I prefer those "un-manly" fruity drinks as opposed to beer - but I'm the one drinking more alcohol in the end, and I'm comfortable with the size of my penis, so I'm okay with the drinks being "un-manly"

Anyways. Not much else has been happening - started going to the Athletic Centre again - my muscles are, surprisingly, not in as much pain as I'd expected them to be - so I'm pleased.

That's about all that's been happening.

Reeeeading Break

Grah - Reading Break is supposed to be relaxing and stuff, but NO!

I gotta do homework and things instead.

Also, why the hell did I come home?

Grah, I digress greatly.

Over on SPOTM, I decided to start a project - a project of many blood donations.

I figured, since SPOTMers are going to be my primary readers, I may as well work it here too.

Anyways - here's the thread and here's the form to organize this whole thing.

--

Meanwhile, in other news - decided I wanna re-play Shuffle! from the beginning. Don't really remember the story lines anymore anyways - so should be all fine and dandy.
I will prepare for awesome... and suck.
Maybe should do Kaede and Sia's arcs first...

Also, came very close to beating Perfect Cherry Blossom. Not a 1CC, but that's not what I was going for.
At the very least, I can now practice the Prismriver Sisters and Youmu now.

Also - been trying to re-watch Baccano!, but my mom doesn't like it when I have fun, so bleeeeeeeh. My brother will eventually get to enjoy the epic though.

Also, Yukari is now Mayor of Peterborough.

Anyways, that's all. Aust Kyzor AWAAAAAAAAAAAY!

And we're back!

Decided, after doing my COIS assignment, to use Blogger from now on - they've certainly improved since when I first tried it out oh so many years ago.

If you're following from Live Journal: hi there!
If you're coming in from Twitter: also hi there!
If you're coming in from the South Poll of the Moon: how the hell did you escape Glad you could make it!

Not much for this first post - don't got much to say right now.

So! Until next time - Aust Kyzor AWAY! *flies off*
